Growing up with a hippie for a mother means that aloe vera played a major part in everything from minor cuts and sunburns to open heart surgery, she put that stuff on everything.  

I like to cover alcoholic drinks here but I found ALOdrink pretty interesting as it is made from aloe vera but combined with flavors like pomegranate/cranberry and grapefruit/lemon/pomello.  Aloe is told to help you absorb vitamin C and E and might even be anti-bacterial and anti-microbial.  

As bartenders look for newer and crazier flavors ALOdrink might just fit the bill and could be pretty fun to work with.  Check out these few recipes:
